Description
These instant organic pinto bean flakes are fully cooked, dried, and flaked. They can be used to create a dip, as a filler for burritos, in scrambled eggs and soups, or added to rice dishes. To prepare the flakes, add an equal amount of beans to boiling water and let them rehydrate for 3 to 5 minutes. Like other legumes, pinto beans are a rich source of complex carbohydrates, which the body digests slowly, providing energy without causing spikes in blood sugar levels. Preparation
Boil 1 cup of water for every 1 cup of beans. Bring water to a boil, stir in bean mix, turn off heat, keep covered and let stand 3 - 5 minutes.
